About The Program

A Day on Campus

Students arrive on campus and are welcomed into their classroom by their teacher. They begin the day just like their peers – with morning routines, attendance, and a preview of the day’s learning.

Hybrid students participate in all core academic subjects (Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies) led by the same teacher and using the same curriculum as in-person students. Lessons are interactive and paced to match the in-person experience.

Afternoon Enrichment

Hybrid students eat lunch and enjoy recess with their grade-level classmates, building friendships and participating fully in school life.

This hour is dedicated to quiet, independent work – giving students time to complete assignments, reflect on learning, or receive support as needed. Teachers are available to grade and assist.

Students attend specialized classes such as Art, STEM, Music, or Coding. These are the same offerings available to all Oakridge students and are included in the hybrid experience.

Enrichment Classes

$200.00 for 1 enrichment class/mo

$350.00 for 2 enrichment classes/mo

This cost accounts for the full 3 hours after 12pm and includes a lunch break and independent studies.

A Day Off Campus

Instruction

  • On off-campus days, students in our hybrid program will engage in independent learning from home. They will follow along with digital instruction and submit their completed work online for their teacher to review and grade.
  • Each course will include approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour of work, depending on the student’s grade level and individual pace. This structure provides families with flexibility while still ensuring that students stay on track academically.
  • With this flexibility comes the important responsibility of staying organized and accountable. We encourage students to manage their time wisely and reach out if they need support.
  • Fridays are for Reviews and Support
    • Fridays in our hybrid program are designed as flexible wrap-up days. Students can use this time to review the week’s material, catch up on any incomplete assignments, or ask questions to ensure they’re on track.
    • A teacher will be available for 60-70 minutes each Friday through Zoom or a class chat to provide support, answer questions, and help students with anything they need. This buil-in time is a great opportunity for students to stay connected and get extra help before starting the next week.

Value Of The Program

While our hybrid model offers flexibility, being on campus during in-person days plays a key role in student growth. Learning in a school setting provides:

  • Structure and routine, which help students stay focused and on track
  • Immediate access to teachers, for real-time questions, guidance, and feedback
  • Social connection, which supports emotional well-being and teamwork

Our mixed-age classroom environment is a unique feature of the program. It encourages students to learn from one another, develop leadership and collaboration skills, and build a sense of community across grade levels.

For many students, this balance of independence and peer interaction creates a richer, more meaningful educational experience.
